Everyone is unique. Whilst colleagues in a team may have some personal characteristics in common (such as level of education, culture, personality and style of working) there are also many that are different.

People should be valued as individuals, not only for reasons related to the interests of the organisation, but also for moral and social reasons. People have different personal needs, values and beliefs and recognising these individual differences and managing them sensitively is essential in order to create an inclusive working environment in which everybody can contribute to organisational goals and feel valued along the way.
